Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United side welcomed Norwich City to Old Trafford on Saturday, as they looked to keep their
hopes of challenging for the Premier League title alive and recovering from their poor recent form. Things were not going really well for the Dutch manager’s side, after the Red Devils had already been knocked out of the Champions League recently and had further suffered a shocking defeat to
Bournemouth in the league as well. The Premier League giants were hoping to turn things around for them as soon as possible, though
things once again did not work out as per what they had planned.

The home side began the game with more intent with the fans behind their back, as they took the lead in the first half. Norwich scored when Cameron Jerome gave the hosts the lead in the 34th minute of the match. There were no more goals till half time though chances were wasted, as the Manchester based side trailed by a single goal. It surely was not a performance to be proud of and United would have hoped things would improve once they came out after the break.

However, it did not get any better for the visitors after the break, as Alexander Tettey added a second goal for Norwich, making things worse for Van Gaal and his side. Anthony Martial did manage to add a consolation goal for the visitors, though they took nothing back from the game once again and it ended in a 2-1 loss for United.

Here are how the fans reacted to the loss, with many of them wanting the Dutchman to be sacked, with Jose Mourinho one name wanted as the next boss as well:
