Manchester United are leading the race to sign Fluminense youngster Kenedy, dubbed ‘the new Neymar’

The teenager has been a subject of interest from clubs all around Europe, but the Red Devils reportedly have stolen march on their Premier League rivals along with other clubs.

It was earlier revealed that Chelsea could highjack Louis van Gaal’s sides’ hopes of landing the coveted Brazilian. But United have lodged a £5.7million bid, which would be enough for Flum to part with their prodigy.

Sky Sports Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio also reported English clubs’ interest in the 19-year-old, who is rated at €10million. But having not seen much of first team football, it would be a risky bet paying the quoted figure for such an inexperienced youngster.

Albeit seeing less action with his club, Kenedy has excelled at Brazilian Under 19’s and Under 20’s, also creating waves at the the 2015 South American Youth Football Championship, where the young Seleção finished 4th.

Performances like these have impressed European scouts, and his agent Eduardo Alves is negotiating with a Premier League club, thought to be Manchester United.

The Brazilian-American sensation has an impressive build and physique, which makes him suitable to the Premier League, and his ability to play in various attacking positions makes him an attractive option.

Italian giants Inter Milan were also keen on Kenedy, but matching English sides’ financial muscle and wage package would be difficult for the Serie A side.
