Marouane Fellaini has seen his value rise to sky high after finally settling to life at Manchester United under Louis Van Gaal. Fellaini has been playing regular football for United and he continued his good run of form during the International games for Belgium.

Fellaini scored 2 goals in Belgium’s 5-0 win over Cyprus during the Euro 2016 qualifications. His goals have put Belgium just three points behind the Group B leader Wales. Belgium came in to the game under slight pressure after winning 1 and drawing 2 of their first 3 games.

Belgium went in with their strongest possible side with the likes of Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Fellaini, Axel Witsel, Thibaout Courtious and Vincent Kompany. The selection paid off as they ran riot over Cyprus and finished the game 5-0.

Fellaini scored in both the halves. Fellaini’s first goal came near the half hour mark and his second goal was a screamer which found the top corner on the 66th minute mark. Fellaini was later substituted was Ferreira Carrasco much to the delight of Van Gaal who would hope to welcome back his star midfield player injury free.

After the win, Belgium’s coach Marc wilmots was pleased with his side’s performance. Wilmots said: “The players enjoyed themselves and knew what to do. Yes, I’m satisfied.”
