The build up for the January transfer window is on in full flow as the clubs have started targeting their preferred players already. Recently, English club Manchester United has been eyeing a winger for the squad and the boss LvG and found Sadio Mane to the rescue. The gaffer is aiming to sign Sadio since summer but failed in his first attempt. Now, the club has made an attempt to seal the deal for the 23 year old player.
The Red Devils had negotiated a deal of £20 million for him last summer but the deal couldn’t go through since the club wasn’t happy with the offer. It is believed that United will put up a similar bid now to land him up at Old Trafford in January. However, the club will surely deny any such offer as they look forward to an offer of approximately £40 million. If a deal of the same amount is put forth, the club is likely to accept it. But reality has it, that an offer of such a huge amount won’t be put up by the club.
Southampton wants to offer Mane a deal which keeps him at St. Mary’s until 2018. But Sadio doesn’t look in the favour of a new deal and hints an exit from the club. The player doesn’t wish to sign an extension even whilst the club intends retaining him at the club. If at all Mane fancies a move out of the club, it will happen at the end of the season and definitely not in January. The club will sell off its player to the highest bidder in the next season.
