Manchester United are believed to have contacted Tottenham over the availability of their star keeper Hugo Lloris. The issue of David De Gea is still not settled as the Red Devils want to be sure to have a world-class goal keeper in their squad before the next season.

De Gea has been stalling on the rumored £200,000-a-week contract offered by the club in hope to sign for Real Madrid which has prompted Van Gaal to make an enquiry for Spurs stopper. It is believed that United are ready to offer £25 million plus Victor Valdes to Tottenham for Hugo Lloris.

Given how much United spent to get De Gea, the offer for Lloris seems way too much at the moment. However, United are dealing with one of world’s toughest chairman in Daniel Levy, who knows how to get the best price for his players.

Despire the news of De Gea nearing a contract extension with the club, Manchester United are not taking any chances as they continue their quest to field a world class goal keeper if De Gea decides to leave next season.

Inter Milan’s Samir Handanovic is another player linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but Hugo Lloris is the top priority replacement for Van Gaal and his team at the moment.
