Manchester United and Louis van Gaal have been held to four consecutive draws in their last four games and will be hoping to bounce back and pick all three points in the Champions League group game against CSKA Moscow this mid-week. They have lacked the spark that they usually show in front of goal and the manager has certain things to sort out before the team faces Moscow.

Both teams have equal points in Group B and a victory in this game will give them a three point led over the other. This is a preview of the game along with the Team News, Predictions and Expected Line-ups.

The Manchester United vs CSKA Moscow match will be played on Tuesday the 3rd of November at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. The kick-off is scheduled at 8:45 pm BST. (1:15 am IST on Wednesday).

Team News:

The biggest news coming out of Manchester has been the injury to Morgan Schneiderlin. He missed the training on Monday and is rated doubtful for the clash against Moscow. Memphis Depay and Phil Jones are set to return back to the squad and may find their place on the bench for this game. Antonio Valencia, Paddy Mc Nair, Luke Shaw and James Wilson are all still injured and un-available for selection.

Bibras Natxo is slowly building match fitness after returning from injury and there is a chance he will be restored to the starting line-up. Centre-back Vasili Berezutski is set to miss out through injury, but Alexei Berezutski should return to the side and key midfielder Roman Eremenko faces a fitness test.

Manchester United has seen a dip of form in the last two weeks as they have not been able to score goals at will. They looked dull and slow in the game against Crystal Palace and need to do things quickly if they want to keep their place in the Champions League alive. The partnership of Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial has been sparkling at times but has not been enough to give United the points in any of the previous 4 matches.

Moscow on the other hand have drawn only two of their last 5 games and have won their last two games at home scoring twice in both the games. They look a side that is dangerous and may well be able to get a result out of this game.

United have looked steady at the back and the whole team will rely on a strong defense to see out Moscow. Their wingers were found out of position many times at Selhurst Park and it may be the best form of attack for Moscow if they want to score at the Old Trafford. L Slutsky the manager of Moscow will be alert to this fact and will set his team up with plenty of pace down the flanks.

Expected Line-ups:

Manchester United:

De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Mata, Herrera, Martial, Rooney.

CSKA Moscow:

Akinfeev, Fernandes, A. Berezutski, Ignashevich, Schennikov, Dzagoev, Wernbloom, Tosic, Natxho, Musa, Doumbia.

The last time these two teams met two weeks ago, the game ended in a 1-1 draw at Moscow. United have since struggled to score freely and that may well be the case again on Tuesday night. Moscow will firmly believe that they can get a result out of this game if they apply themselves.

Our Prediction: Manchester United 1-1 CSKA Moscow.

Betting Odds:

Manchester United: 11/20
