Messi Targeting April’s El Clasico To Win La Liga this Season

Lionel Messi apparently has a plan to pip Real Madrid to the La Liga trophy this season, despite Barcelona’s shock defeat to Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday.
Barca lost ground on Real after slipping up 2-1, and are now two points behind their fiercest rivals and have played a game more.
Madrid beat Real Betis by the same scoreline thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos, meaning it’s advantage Los Blancos in the title race at a crucial stage of the season.
But according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Messi isn’t too worried about his club’s current position and has identified, along with his teammates, April’s El Clasico at the Bernabeu as the game that could swing the title race back in their favour. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also believes Real won’t win every game until the end of the season, and that their game against Valencia could be potential banana skin.
Diario Gol also claim that Messi has asked boss Luis Enrique to stop rotating the team so much and that Brazil star Neymar starts every single game from now until the season’s end, perhaps in-part due to his heroic showing against PSG in the epic Champions League comeback.
Neymar produced two goals and an assist in the final ten minutes of the game to remind everyone just what a world class talent and big-game player he really is.
Messi apparently also wants Andres Iniesta and Ivan Rakitic to serve as the team’s midfield contingent, rather than summer signings Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez.
