‘Messiah’ Mohamed Salah: Egyptian Donates Huge Funds To Rebuild A Church Which Burned Down Killing 41 People

Mohamed Salah has made the run to help his fellow Egyptians after a fire broke out in the Abu Seifein Church, Giza. The Egypt international has donated massive funds to help the victims from his native land to recover swiftly from the accident. According to further reports, the fire claimed lives of 41 people as Salah aims to lend out a helping hand to his countrymen.
The Liverpool ace in known for making such regular donations and charity to his homeland, supporting them from time to time. Now as well, Salah was one of the firsts to provide a whopping financial aid to those affected by the deadly incident. While the restoration work of the church has began, people of Egypt as well as all around the world have once again lauded Mohamed Salah for his generous help.
Mohamed Salah shells £130,000 as donation to the church
As various sources have now confirmed, Mohamed Salah has sent a pay cheque of a staggering £130,000 as donation to rebuild the church. The president of Egypt has issued the order of restoration of the church by Armed Forces Engineering Authority, who are already working on a war footing to get the job done.
The initial reports tell that the fire was caused due to a short circuit in the generator which served the church. A statement from Egypt’s Interior Ministry read: “Examination of the forensic evidence agencies revealed that the fire broke out in an air conditioning on the second floor of the church building, which includes classrooms, as a result of an electrical fault, and this led to the emission of a thick amount of smoke, which was the main cause of injuries and deaths.”
The Ministry of Social Solidarity has further announced financial help to the victims, while Salah too has already done his bit. Moreover, this is not the first time the Liverpool star has ran to the help of his nation. Salah had forked out £2.48million from his own pocket to Egypt’s National Cancer Institute in 2019, after a terrorist attack resulted in the death of 20 people.
Salah has since become an icon in Merseyside as well as Egypt, with the people of his native land often hailing him as their ‘Messiah’. The winger is currently on duty with the Reds as they have kicked-off the new season. Though they are yet to snatch a win, drawing the first two games, Liverpool will be hopeful of bagging all three points against Manchester United in their next outing.
