Mesut Ozil supports the criticism of Olivier Giroud on Instagram

Mesut Ozil was looking so good from the start of the 2015/16 campaign for Arsenal, that most of the fans thought he will be way past Thierry Henry’s most assist in a Premier League season record while playing for Arsenal. But it is Premier League and thus, unexpected things do happen, that’s the best thing about it. Mesut Ozil ended this Premier League season grabbing 19 assists, which is only one behind Thierry Henry, who bagged 20 assists in the 2002/2003 campaign. But the question which raised eyebrows is: Does Mesut Ozil blame Olivier Giroud for this?

With 16 assists already by his side by the end of December, everyone thought reaching the 20 assists landmark will be a piece of cake for the ex-Real Madrid man. But not only Ozil, Arsenal also were awful in the second half of the campaign, which cost them the title.

Arsenal struggled in the second half of the season with the Gunners failing to mount a serious Premier League title challenge and Ozil and co. fell away.

A thoroughly modern teammate spat has appeared on Instagram on Sunday, saying that Ozil does not think much of his team mate Giroud.

Ozil liked an Instagram picture, which was suggesting that Giroud was the reason Ozil could not bag the record.

And obviously, you understand the importance of hitting the like button on anything, which is visible publicly. This also gives us a hint that after Xhaka, Arsenal will also look for a striker.

We are sharing the Instagram picture below, and also some reactions from Arsenal fans on Twitter.
