More trouble for Chelsea: Brazilian star wanted for sexual assult

21-year-old young Chelsea striker Lucas Piazon is wanted by Toronto Police over an alleged sexual assault.

Reports are saying Toronto Police already issued a warrant for the arrest of Lucas Piazon on loan at Championship club Reading and his Brazil U22 team-mate Andrey after a shocking incident that allegedly happened when the Pan-Am Games tournament was going on back in July.

A Chelsea spokesman reacted to this report: “We are aware of the reports.” 

No further comment was there and Reading are also said to be aware of the incident as Toronto Police released a media statement on Thursday.

The media release read like this, “The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault investigation,”

“It is alleged that: – on Saturday, July 25, 2015, a 21-year-old woman, along with a friend, met two men in a nightclub in Toronto.

“The two men accompanied the women to one woman’s residence. Once inside the residence, the two men sexually assaulted one of the women.

“The two men have now been identified, and arrest warrants have been issued for Lucas Domingues Piazon, 21, and Andrey Da Silva Ventura, 22.

“They are both wanted for: 1. Sexual Assault.

“Both men are from Brazil. They were in Canada as participants in the 2015 Pan-Am Games as members of the Brazilian Pan-American football (soccer) team.”

The alleged incident took place on the same day Brazil won a bronze medal in the tournament, ironically Piazon scored in a 3-1 win against Panama.

Piazon joined Chelsea in 2011 and has a deal until 2017. 

He completed the 2013-14 season at Vitesse Arnhem, then 2014-15 campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt and now is on a season-long loan at Championship side Reading, playing eight matches for the Royals till now this season.

On the other hand, the second alleged person, Andrey is a goalkeeper playing for Brazilian club Botafogo.
