Whatever Mourinho does grabs eyeballs and the Special One does not fail to do so even in his unemployment! Since his sacking by the Blues, the Portuguese has been linked to big clubs and now supposedly joining the foray is his old club, Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are currently sitting at the2nd position in the league table with 22 points, just one point shy of table-toppers Barcelona. Though the Los Blancos occupy a comfortable position in the League things Santiago Bernabeu haven’t been the same after the 4-0 thrashing at the hands of the Catalans. If reports are to be trusted then it has come about that neither the players nor the management is happy with Benitez and looking for a replacement for the Spaniard and who better than the Special One.

Mourinho was in charge of the Madrid outfit from 2010- 2013 and won one La Liga title, a Supercopa de Espana and also a Copa del Rey title. Mourinho made Madrid the 1st team to win the league with a humongous 100 points, but things did not end well with the Portuguese as the boss left the club leaving behind a trail of sour relationships with the players. However given the current situation of Real Madrid where Benitez doesn’t look like a manager who can take them to a Champions League title, and also Mourinho’s timely availability bodes well for the Los Blancos as he can deliver titles for the club.

However, there stands the issue of his relationship with the players. The Special one does not share any good bond with the players at Madrid despite three seasons with them. And with Ronaldo and Ramos not sharing a cordial relationship with the Jose, things are bound to be difficult if the move comes about. But that’s only Madrid’s side of the story. If we take into account what Mourinho wants then Madrid should probably look for other options as the Portuguese are more inclined towards an England job if it becomes available. Mourinho wants to continue coaching in England and if Manchester United’s bad form continues then the Special One and said that he would love to take up that job if it comes his way. His desire to establish a legacy and create an empire is well suited to the philosophy in play at Old Trafford. So we will have to wait and see which turn this tale takes!
