Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he will not make massive changes to the current squad this summer as Chelsea clinched their first Premier League title in five years.

Mourinho will also have enough budget to sign new players who could improve their squad as players like Drogba are expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Mourinho will be keen to hold on to his players and would like to add more depth to the squad to overcome injury crisis. Loaned Players like Salah, Piazon, Moses will return at the end of the season which makes squad more stronger.

He said, “The most important thing is to keep the squad, to keep the players we have.

“In my previous squad I had players I was happy to sell and to make money from them. In this squad I have no players where I am happy to do that, not me or the board. We are not selling many players.

“I want to keep my important players and in this squad it is it easy to see that all of them were important because the squad was made of 15-16 players plus the young boys.

“Obviously we are going to try to improve the squad and there will be a rotation of the young players. At this moment our young players are prepared for good, difficult loans, which they weren’t before.

“Our squad next season will be very similar to this one, with a couple of new players. That’s the basic improvement.”

Asked about his contract, Mourinho said: “”I don’t need a contract. Mr (Roman) Abramovich), in my opinion, has to be very calm because he has me, I am in his hands. I’m not asking for new contract or a better contract. I am very calm.

“He doesn’t have to be worried, he has me. If he wants me to stay I stay, the day he wants me to leave, I leave.

“I am already working for the next season so I know I’m staying. More important than a two-year or 10-year contract is my desire to stay and his desire for me to stay.”
