Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford is edging closer towards a loan move to Crystal Palace in the summer. Bamford has caught Premier League team’s attention after the 21-year old striker was voted as Chelsea’s young player of the year last season.
Having spent several seasons in the reserve team, Bamford is now ready to make an impression on the big stage and Alan Pardrew is more than willing to sign the youngster in a season-long loan and bring him to Selhurst Park.
Pardrew was hoping to sign Loic Remy from Chelsea this summer but Jose Mourinho has put a Not For Sale board on the French striker and asked him to fight for first team place next season.
Pardrew has now turned to the Chelsea youngster to add to his strike force as Palace look to become an even greater force next season.
Everton, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Norwich City were also among the interested parties but they will see Bamford play at Selhurst Park next season.
Chelsea have started the process of exodus as Filipe Luis and Juan Cuadrado look to be on their way out of Stamford Bridge as Atletico Madrid are closing on a 15million move for Luis while Juventus are interested in signing Cuadrado next season.
