EA Sports compiled Statistics can officially state who has been the quickest player in Premier League this season.
It’s a new study documenting the top speeds players reached during the Premier League this term and the list has lots of surprises. One club in particular features in the list for three times – can you guess which club? Also let’s see who the quickest one is.
10. Cameron Jerome – 34.97km/h
This Norwich striker is really a surprise among the premier league’s fastest players, the Englishman usually prefer power and strength than raw pace.
9. Joshua King – 34.99km/h
Bournemouth signed this former Manchester United youth this summer and he has little effect in the teams play so far. From 10 league appearances he is still waiting to find a goal, but the pace he generates, have troubled opposition defenders.
8. Victor Moses – 35km/h
The Nigerian winger played his part quite exceptionally for the lightning quick start of West Ham this season. His speed down the flank has made West Ham’s attack more dangerous on the break.
7. Marc Albrighton – 35km/h
The first one of the three Leicester City players in our list. The England international is one of the pacey attackers of Leicester to add much needed speed in their play with his quick efficient runs.
6. Jesus Navas – 35.06km/h
The Manchester City flying winger has reached the highest speed this term, raw pace being his biggest asset, but final ball many a times lets him down.
5. Billy Jones – 35.07km/h
Stats suggest, the full-back from Sunderland may have reached the top speed when he recovered from a tackle and tried to catch up Gerard Deulofeu at Goodison Park two weeks ago. Energetic and very fast, young Billy Jones has many surprises hiding in his pocket.
4. Kyle Walker – 35.09km/h
There are so many criticisms that fly against Kyle Walker in recent years and while he is gradually coming back to his best this season, one aspect which never left him is his extraordinary pace. He is the fourth fastest player in the English top flight so far this term.
3. Divock Origi – 35.15km/h
Finishing is still an area where he has to improve a lot, but the Belgian striker surely has all the potential to be a major threat with his high speed as he is third highest in the fastest player’s list so far this season.
2. Jeffrey Schlupp – 35.26km/h
The Ghanaian left-back from Leicester City has reached a highest speed which only one player can surpass till now this season and that player is someone with whom he is very much familiar.
1. Jamie Vardy – 35.44km/h
The top scorer of Premier League this season is really in incredible form. Stat says, in the final third, the Leicester City striker has won the ball the most times and not only that, he has also hit the highest speed, as hard work remains crucial to his extraordinary success.
So, with three Leicester City players in this fastest top 10 list, it’s not a surprise to know that no other team in the Premier League has managed to score more goals from counter-attack than them.
