Opponents For Real Madrid In FIFA Club World Cup Decided

Real Madrid, who are all set to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup for the third year in a row will face either CD Guadalajara or the winner of the AFC Champions League in the semi-finals.
Real Madrid are in with a chance to become the Club World Cup champions for the third time in a row.
After winning hattrick of UCL’s, the Los Blancos are now in with a massive chance to become the Club World Cup champions for the third time in a row too. The team will travel to United Arab Emirates in December to defend their title.
Meanwhile, they missed out on winning the UEFA Super Cup this year and missed out on making it three on three. With the defeat, the new manager Julen Loptegui also tasted defeat in his very first official match with the club. Real Madrid lost 4-2 against their city rivals Atletico Madrid in the final.
After the draw was done and dusted on Tuesday, Real Madrid now knows that they will kick-off their campaign on December 19, with a potential final date set for December 22.
The tournament will begin with the clash between Al Ain and Team Wellington. Al Ain have qualified as the representative of the host nation while Team Wellington are the OFC Champions League winners. The winner of that match will take on the CAF Champions League winners.
However, it is yet to be known as the African tournament is currently at the quarter-final stage. While, on the CONCACAF champions Guadalajara’s prize for beating Toronto FC in April’s final is a match against the eventual representative from Asia.
Real Madrid have won the title three times, same as their arch rivals FC Barcelona. They are now also in with a chance to make it four and remain at the top alone.
