Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will become the highest paid goalkeeper in Arsenal’s history when he completes his move across the city, according to reports in British media. The Gunners are willing to pay Petr Cech £100,000 a week making him their highest-ever paid goalkeeper in their history.
Arsenal are ever close to sign Petr Cech for a reported sum of £10 million and Arsenal are ready to pay better wages to Cech than he is currently earning at Stamford Bridge.
The 32-year old has lost his No.1 position in Chelsea after the arrival of Thibaut Courtois from the loan spell at Atletico Madrid last summer. Cech wants to move away from Chelsea as he seeks regular first team action and there are plenty of teams who can offer him that.
Arsenal are the favorites to sign the shot stopper despite interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid. Cech wants to stay in London as his family were well settled in the city and do not want to move away from the city.
Arsenal current No.1 David ospina will move to Turkey if recent reports are believed as he will make way for Petr Cech and out of form Wojciech Szczesny is expected to offer some rivalry to Cech having lost his first team place to Ospina.
