Recent reports have talked about Jonathan Calleri’s future, as the 22-year-old striker was wanted by Premier League giants Chelsea and Tottenham and was all set to leave his current club Boca Juniors. Both the London clubs were keen on adding more quality to their attack as they looked to strengthen their current squad and challenge for more titles and were planning to sign the youngster in the near future. However, it seems now that the Argentine will ditch the two English giants as he rather prefers joining Serie A outfit Inter Milan, as confirmed by the claims that have been going around in the recent weeks.

Further, the San Siro based side are also going through a rebuilding phase at the moment under manager Roberto Mancini and would not mind adding the young star to their squad, if they can push a deal through soon.

Next, the current club president at Boca Juniors, Daniel Angelici, recently spoke in an interview and also revealed to Italian media out La Gazzetta dello Sport about the future’s plans for a move next season. He said, “Calleri’s sale is 99 per-cent complete. He will be sold to an English investment fund and he will play in Italy.”

Though, both the Blues and Spurs have signed quite a few players in the recent seasons, it will be a tough deal to get done after such comments which suggest that he could be heading to Italy.

Nothing is certain in the world of football and what happens next, remains to be seen.
