Everton defender John Stones is set to hand a transfer request to Everton as he wants to force his move to Premier League champions, Chelsea.
Everton has already rejected three bids for the 21-year-old English international but is braced for another offer from the Premier League champions.
The Toffees have claimed the England international is not for sale, but it is understood they will be prepared to sell for £40million.
And the Sun reports that Stones, 21, will tell Everton bosses he wants to quit Goodison Park to try and get the deal over the line.
Chelsea started their campaign for retaining Premier League poorly with a 2-2 draw with Swansea and a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City and Roman Abramovich is furious with Jose Mourinho and has urged to sign players to reinforce the squad.
Following the poor results, Chelsea have signed Baba Rahman and Pedro and are hopeful to land the English youngster to replace John Terry for a long time.
Chelsea has also launched a huge €55m bid for French young sensation Anthony Martial to bolster their attack according to AS.
Meanwhile, Stones has been urged by team-mate Steven Naismith to ignore the lure of Chelsea.
He claims the young centre-back is learning so much by playing every week alongside Three Lions veteran Phil Jagielka.
“Have a long think about it – the grass isn’t always greener,” said Naismith. “At this stage, it’s hard for players to see this exact moment in their career. You can be blinded.”
“I know, when I was injured and coming back, not playing football was the hardest thing and I would have dropped down two divisions just to play.”
