Mathieu Flamini is undergoing a medical at Crystal Palace, according to Steve Parish.
Flamini is a free agent after leaving Arsenal at the end of last season when his contract expired.
Palace was linked with a move for the 32-year-old last week after they failed in a deadline day loan move for Jack Wilshere.
Asked about a potential deal for the Frenchman, Parish told talkSPORT: “That looks like it will happen. It looks like we are going to do that.
“He’s a free agent and we’ve got a space in the squad. We’re down to 24 and that’s something we wanted to do.
“With Milo [Mile Jedinak] going, we think he can add something.
“He is having a medical at the moment.”
Flamini, who was re-signed by Arsenal in 2013 after leaving the club five years earlier, remains a free agent having left the north London club for the second time at the end of last season.
A number of Italian clubs have expressed an interest in the French midfielder, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, but only Roma and Torino have entered formal negotiations with the 32-year-old.
Having spent five seasons in Italy with AC Milan earlier in his career, Flamini has valuable experience under his belt and it is thought Torino are desperate to land the holding midfielder.
But if the latest reports are to be believed then Crystal Palace seems the veteran midfielder’s next destination.
