Real Madrid’s transfer ban has spilt water over PSG’s plans of signing Cristiano Ronaldo in the near future and thus to add fire power to the lineup and to fill in the boots of a certain Swede whose contract expires in the summer, the Paris giants are eyeing a certain Brazilian star from Barcelona.

According to French magazine L’Equipe, the frontrunner on the PSG shopping list is the Catalan key man who on account of his performances last year made it to the top 3 of the most prestigious individual award in football, the FIFA Ballon d’Or. Neymar is the rising star of this era and at an age of 23, the forward has scored more goals than either Messi or Ronaldo.

Neymar is an important link of the winning trio at Barcelona and it is the 39 goals of this Brazilian that led Barcelona to a record 5 titles.

And undoubtedly such a talent and performance will earn the admiration of big clubs worldwide. With Zlatan’s future still a matter of speculation, PSG would like to consolidate their front with the signing of the Brazilian goal scoring machine.

What works in PSG’s favour is the current financial status of the Catalan giants who are running short of funds given the big stars on their payroll and a stadium renovation on the cards. Selling Neymar to PSG brings heaps of money which can ensure financial stability for the Catalans.

While Neymar tops the shopping list, other stars that PSG is after includes the German wonder boys Lewandowski and Rues, a certain Kun Aguero and Chelsea frontman Eden Hazard.
