According to Express, Raheem Sterling reported to training today after missing two consecutive days’ training by calling in sick.

But the contract rebel is still unwilling to take part in the pre season tour with the Reds and fly to Australia and South East Asia on Sunday.

Sterling has shown the worst level of unprofessionalism for the last few months and has reached a whole new level in the last few days.

Sterling refised to sign a contract with the Reds at the end of last season and his agent stated that his client will not sign an extension at the Merseyside club even if they offer him £900k per week.

The player along with his agent stated many times in public that he will not stay and Anfield and will join Manchester City.

Manchester City, meanwhile, is also interested in the English international but failed to land him to Etihad seeing two of their bids believed to be £30 million and £40 million respectively by Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Reports say that the Sky Blues are not willing to match Liverpool’s valuation for the player which is £50 million.

The young winger also threatened to go on strike against his employers and expressed his unwillingness to fly with the quad for pre season matches.

Liverpool legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher criticised their former teammate for his unprofessionalism.

Liverpool fans are also furious with the number 31 and abused the player on social media.

Liverpool was rumoured to be taking disciplinary action against the 20 year old Englishman for failing to arrive on training.

Now that Sterling has joined training, it will be interesting to see what is next to be seen in this trending transfer saga.
