Jurgen Klopp has revealed the injury update of Philippe Coutinho. Coutinho has been Liverpool’s most consistent player so far and even in yesterday’s 4-1 triumph over Manchester City, Coutinho scored one, assisted one and his dragged backcross paved way for Liverpool’s opening goal. Philippe Coutinho got subbed off last night at 68 the minute after pulling off Hamstring. Already with injury prone Sturridge and without the service of captain Jordan Henderson, if Coutinho gets an injury layoff it will be a big blow to Liverpool. Coutinho will have a scan on his hamstring. Jurgen Klopp has revealed his injury update. Klopp said on Coutinho’s injury – “I hope [he] is well enough.

“He showed not a real [injury], it was a little bit of cramp, he felt something.

“I hope that’s all, he will be very important for us, everybody can see he’s in really good shape in this moment. I hope he can react well enough.”

Klopp said on winning 4-1: “It feels perfect! The game was not perfect, but it was very good.”

“City couldn’t start like they want, but that’s important for us. We played with big passion & that’s the most important thing for us”

“At half-time I told the boys they were surprised to be winning 3-0, and we must do better in that situation. We can do better.”

“We have quality, we could have more goals, but 4-1 is perfect. The boys can believe now that they’re stronger than many people think”

“We have quality in our counter attacks, they did brilliant tonight. That was really good. But you saw we could have scored more.”

”We can do better. We can defend better.”

“City can always strike back. You saw Aguero’s goal. It was not a chance I would say. But in the end it was no chance for Mignolet.”

“We have to learn all the time. And get better. It’s our job to show everyone the quality that this team have.”

Coutinho has got a knock to the hamstring and not a strain or a tear, should be ok. To statistically sum up Coutinho’s game last night:

3 shots, 3 chances, created 3, tackles won 1, assist 1, goal 1.
