Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp have shown great decisiveness to finish deals to strengthen their squad in January.
Jurgen Klopp has already called back a number of loanees to train with the first team and will hope to provide them enough chances in the coming months.
He has also agreed a deal with Marko Grujic who was loaned back to Red Star till the end of the season. And earlier today, they announced the signature of Steven Caulker from QPR in a loan deal that will see the player at Liverpool till the end of the season.
The club was linked with the player in the early hours of Tuesday yet Liverpool have completed the signing officially and have also un-veiled the kit number for their new loanee before the end of the day.
Caulker who is strong in the air and will surely provide Liverpool enough defensive cover till the end of the season will be wearing the No. 19 jersey at Liverpool this season.
The 24-year olds signature has come at the right time for the German manager who is short of options at the back thanks to injuries to Skrtel, Lovren and Sakho.
Caulker was registered in time to be eligible to face the Gunners on Wednesday and may well make his first appearance as a Liverpool No. 19 for the first time already.
However, it will not be a surprise to see the QPR defender fall down the pecking order once the main choice center backs are fit to play.
For the sake of Liverpool and Caulker’s career, let’s hope that the 24-year old kicks-off his career at a big club.
