Revealed: West Brom and Arsenal lineups, surprising inclusion for Arsenal

Premier League joint leaders Arsenal will travel to The Hawthorns as club football returns after the brief international break, looking to defend the six-match unbeaten record when they face an inconsistent West Bromwich Albion side.

A victory would take the Gunners three points clear at the top and thrash the Baggies to a third straight defeat in the league.

Prior to the international break, Arsenal were literally torn apart at the Emirates by a confident Tottenham side in the North London derby as if the Spurs looked like the home team rather than Arsenal.

However, Kieran Gibbs was an unlikely hero who netted a 77th-minute equaliser while Wenger’s troop managed to secure a 1-1 draw. But with one home win this term, West Bromwich will face a tough challenge to keep the Gunners away from a win.

Arsenal manager has confirmed that this weekend’s match is too early for Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with the duo still recovering from injury. Theo Walcott is also sidelined with an injury.

Here are the lineups of West Bromwich and Arsenal for today’s match.

West Bromwich Albion Starting Lineup: Myhill, Dawson, Evans, Olsson, Brunt, Morrison, Fletcher (c), Yacob, McClean, Sessegnon, Rondon

West Bromwich Albion Substitutes: Lindegaard; Chester, Gardner, McManaman, Lambert, Anichebe, Berahino

Arsenal starting Lineup: Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Coquelin, Cazorla, Sanchez, Ozil, Gibbs, Giroud

Arsenal substitutes: Ospina, Gabriel, Debuchy, Arteta, Flamini, Adelaide, Campbell
