Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set for one final move before the end of his career, according to his agent Mino Raiola.
The 34-year old who is set to be 35 next month, have joined Manchester United this summer and will stay at Old Trafford for at least two years as recent reports suggested that United are keen to extend his contract up to three years.
However, the Swede is keen to play for Napoli during the final days in his career as he desires to finish his career at Naples, the super agent has confirmed. Zlatan has played across high profile clubs across Europe which include AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Ajax, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain before moving to Manchester United this summer.
He has been in spectacular form even at 34, as he opened his Manchester United career on a high as he managed four goals in his first four Premier League games and is tipped to be a huge success in Premier League.
‘Was Ibra approached by Napoli this summer? The president who talk to me, they know that what is said remains between us. We chose United recently, it was our goal, Ibra was also the club’s aim, and we’re now where we needed to be,’ Raiola told Radio CRC.
‘All I can say is at Ciro Ferrara’s farewell game at the San Paolo, Zlatan called me and told me: “Mino, I want to end my career in Naples”. That’s because the mentality of the Neapolitans is the one closest to his, and if the league remained as it was back then, he might have done just that.’
The Swedish player of the year has moved to Premier League to prove himself in the league which proved hard for many high-profile strikers across Europe. With Napoli still in his sights, it remains to be seen when Zlatan will retire as he is looking to play at least till 40.
