Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has admitted that Arsenal needs “true, true striker” to make them a champion side to challenge for Premier League next season.
Arsenal has the likes of Oliver Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell but the latter two has been highly disappointing and are expected to leave Gunners this summer. Arsene Wenger is in the market to add a quality striker to his roster as he wants to win Premier League at any cost next season after an impressive comeback to top-4 this season.
Giroud has been instrumental last season with 19 goals and Alexis Sanchez has been their main go to man as he scored 25 goals for Gunners, Danny Welbeck added eight and Theo Walcott scored another seven goals.
But apart from Giroud, the other are few options for wide positions which makes Arsenal in need of another out and out striker like Giroud next season.
Cazorla said: “It’s a tough decision and it’s down to Mr Wenger to make these decisions. My only hope is that whoever is chosen will be somebody who can pump up the level of the team.
“When it comes to a position or who in particular we might need somebody in Theo Walcott’s area. He’s not necessarily a true, true striker so we might need somebody in his area.”
Gunners are heavily linked to the likes of Karim Benzema and Jackson Martinez this summer as they look to spend big on their squad next season.
