Shocking: Chelsea set to lose the battle for Italy’s Euro 2016 star

Chelsea target Antonio Candreva could be off to Inter Milan instead of Stamford Bridge, according to reports in Italy.

Chelsea are prepared to offer €45m for both Lazio teammates Antonio Candreva and Marco Parolo, claimed reports in Italy last week.

Sportmediaset suggests there will be a double swoop for the players who made a big impact at Euro 2016.

Antonio Conte is eager to reunite with both Candreva and Parolo at Stamford Bridge this season. While Parolo would be available, there is a bidding war on-going for Candreva.

Napoli had agreed a €24m transfer fee, plus bonuses, but have so far failed to work out personal terms with the winger.

Now Inter are back in the running and preferred by the player, but are still €4m off Lazio’s asking price.

Candreva is expected to be subject to an €18million bid from Inter Milan for his services, but Chelsea still hoped that he does indeed fancy a spell out of Italy.

The winger scored 10 times last season in Serie A after making 30 league appearances. It was the third successive year he has netted double figures in the league for Lazio.

The 29-year-old was an unused substitute when Italy lost to Germany on penalties at EURO 2016.

Contradiction to this report remains with Juan Cuadrado possibly returning to Stamford Bridge from Juventus, there is seems to be no space for Candreva in Chelsea squad.

However, The Telegraph claim Juventus and Inter Milan are keen on Cuadrado.

However Conte is ready to give the Colombian a second chance to shine in west London. The winger failed to impress after arriving at the club from Fiorentina in a £23.3m deal early last year.

Cuadrado struggled to make a mark under Jose Mourinho and was bombed out on loan to Juve after just six months.
