According to reports in Italy, Inter Milan are interested in signing Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian on a season-long loan deal.
Gazello World claims that Inter Milan are interested in only a loan move to Darmain as they now looking at cheaper options in the market as the deadline looms. The Italian club are unwilling to meet his huge wages as they eye only a loan deal for the talented defender.
The Red Devils’ fullback is not in the plans of newly appointed Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho. The 26-year old who has moved from Italian outfit Torino to Old Trafford last summer has had a decent season with the Red Devils under Louis van Gaal.
However, the new manager has opted for experienced Antonio Valencia ahead of the Italian and the future of Darmian looks uncertain at Old Trafford.
The player who is expected to leave Old Trafford all summer has attracted a host of clubs from Italy which include AS Roma, Napoli and Torino. If the player decides to stay at Manchester United, he could get some playing time once the cup and Europa League starts as the manager looks to shuffle his squad to keeps his players fresh.
But a move to Italy would ensure he gets regular football and Inter Milan new boss Frank de Boer eyes the impressive defender as an option with the transfer window coming to a close.
