Just months into what could have been a dream wedding, former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez reportedly called off his nuptials to Spanish journalist Lucia Villalon.
According to the Sun, Chicharito and his partner called it off as they could no longer handle the long distance in their relationship.
Hernandez met Villalon when he joined Real Madrid on loan ahead of the 2014/2015 season.
They have regularly posted photos together on social media but recent activity in their social media pages suggest they’ve broken up altogether after calling a halt to wedding plans.

Hernandez and Villalon got engaged last summer but it now seems his career at German side Bayer Leverkusen has become too much to handle.
Hernandez currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen where he has scored 12 goals in 31 games for the German side.
It was Villalón who broke her silence recently during a fashion event that gave fans some clarity. “What hurt me the most was his disloyalty, I wasn’t expecting it, I was going to marry him,” she said. “There’s no relationship. We all make mistakes in relationships. I probably have made a lot.”
Following theVillalon’s comments about her split from the soccer star, Hernández posted a photo of himself with the following quote: “More powerful than the desire to succeed, is the courage to begin” Start as many times as necessary until you make it! #smile #blessed.” Many people on social media speculated that this was his reaction to what his former fiancée said to the media.
