Shocking: Premier League Rivals Make Outrageous Bid For Man United Star

One would think Marouane Fellaini’s performances of late haven’t done much to spark interest in his services.

In fact, the Manchester United midfielder has recently drawn widespread criticism from fans and pundits for the deft manner in which he conceded a penalty against his former club Everton last weekend.

The 29-year-old is often an easy target for the Old Trafford faithful to vent their frustrations, though his latest exploit – which has even been described as ‘idiotic’ – was never likely to go unpunished.

Fellaini began the season as a starting player under Jose Mourinho to the surprise of many, but the United boss has gradually lost faith in the Belgium international.

Now, the former Toffees ace who cost £27 million to sign in September 2013 could be allowed to leave in January, and at least one Premier League club is thought to be weighing up an approach.

The Telegraph reports West Ham United are considering making a move for Fellaini based on their understanding that Mourinho might be looking to offload him in the next window.

Slaven Bilic has previously been linked with having an interest in the afro-haired midfielder and is eager to capitalise on the prospect of United wanting to trim their big squad.

Fellaini has made 14 appearances for the Red Devils this season, all of them in a midfield role, but the Hammers could be looking at him as an alternative option in attack.

The Belgian once enjoyed a successful period operating as a striker for Everton and given how West Ham have struggled to score goals this season, Bilic could be tempted to experiment with his versatile qualities.

There’s little chance United would be reluctant to allow Fellaini to leave, but his wages could prove to be a significant obstacle unless his employers are willing to cover at least some portion of his salary.

Fellaini can be a hugely effective player when deployed in a suitable role, and the east London club could do worse than having him around to help drive them away from the relegation zone.
