Shocking- Wenger’s arrogance costing the title for Arsenal, claims Manchester United legend

Arsene Wenger’s arrogance to buy star players will hurt Arsenal as they have no chance of winning the Premier League this season, claims former Manchester United striker Andy Cole.

The 44-year old who has been phenomenal for Manchester United during his playing days has won a Champions League and five league titles with the Red Devils during his time at Old Trafford.

Cole feels that Arsene Wenger reluctance to meet the demands of fans and football pundits could cost the Londoners the title this season as they finished as runners last season. The Gunners are very keen to win a league title after a long wait of over a decade.

‘Arsenal’s best chance of winning the Premier League was last season. Will they win it this season? No,’ said Cole speaking to 888Sport.

‘They will be involved in the mix but the more people or experts who say Arsenal need this player or that player then Arsene decides he doesn’t need them. Arsenal might have missed the boat.’

He also predicts Arsenal’s rivals Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea have started their season perfectly under new managers and could go all the way to win the title this season.

‘The way they [Manchester United and Man City] have both started the season it’s tempting to think that one of them will win it,’ said Cole who was speaking exclusively to 888Sport.

‘But then when you look at how Chelsea have started as well. The Premier League is so topsy-turvy now and whoever puts a run together and plays as a team then anything is possible. Leicester showed that.’
