Tottenham Spur to sign a Cameroon young striker ahead of Stoke City match

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to complete the £12million signing of Cameroon forward Clinton N’Jie from Lyon ahead of their match against Stoke City this weekend, according to Mirror reports.

The 21-year-old is closing in on a switch to White Hart Lane after the two sides agreed a £10million fee with a further £2million to be paid based on a certain number of appearances.

He is now set to agree personal terms at White Hart Lane and is likely to undergo a medical in the next 48 hours.

Mauricio Pochettino is determined to add a cover striker for the first choice striker Harry Kane who had a brilliant last season.

 

They were linked heavily with a move for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino the the rumours have now cooled down.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado are both out of favor at the London outfit and may move away from the club with Aston Villa and Villareal favourites to land the veteran strikers.

N’Jie has scored 6 goals from 11 apperances for his national team and is dubbed as the “Next Eto’o” due to similarities in playing style with the Cameroon legend.

N’jie featured mostly as a wide player for Olympique Lyon last season and scored 6 goals from 33 appearances for the French giants and helped them become runners up in Ligue 1 last season.
