Jose Mourinho has been an instant hit at Old Trafford after all the changes he has made to the club from the start of the summer.
The manager is yet to be defeated in his stint in Manchester and is building up a strong team at Old Trafford that might help him bring the club back to winning ways not just in England but also in Europe.
A number of players have joined the Red Devils to improve the quality and depth in the squad but one player who is reportedly surplus to requirements at the club is Italian full-back Matteo Darmian.
The 26-year old moved to Manchester United just last season in a £12m deal and was named the player of the month for the club in the first month last season.
But he could not keep himself fit for a long time and eventually lost his form and then his place in the starting XI under Louis van Gaal last season.
He would have wanted to prove himself to the new manager at the club but Mourinho does not seem interested in keeping him and is happy to listen to an offer for the player before the deadline day.
Antonio Valencia has been used in that position this season by Mourinho who wants to add Fabinho from Monaco to his squad leaving Darmian with just one option to leave the club this summer.
And it is understood that a number of clubs are ready to make a move for the 26-year old before the deadline day.
The likes of Napoli and Roma are reportedly interested in his signature while Torino, Darmian’s former club are also pondering over a move for the full-back.
However, it is also revealed that Mourinho might be keeping hold of his player this summer if he is not able to get his hands on Fabinho before the deadline day.
It will be interesting to see how the manager uses his squad next season and if he decides to keep hold of Darmian, he might not be able to get enough game time this season.
Do you think the 26-year old should leave United this summer?
