The 2015-16 season of the Barclays Premier League has already seen some wonderful games and some incredible individual performances. The array of talent in the country has often lit up the field when they are on show. The 11th Match day of the League was no exception as a number of players showed why they are paid such insane amounts.
Here is the Team of the Week this Week for the Barclays Premier League
Jack Butland (Stoke City):
Jack Butland was the start of the day when Stoke took on Newcastle United. He made a number of great saves to give Stoke a point from the 0-0 draw at the St James Park
Nacho Monreal (Arsenal):
The Arsenal full back was full of energy and purpose as he troubled the Swansea back line throughout the game in the 3-0 victory at the Liberty Stadium.
Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City):
Bagging his first goal in a City shirt, Nicolas Otamendi had a great day against Norwich City. He rarely gave the Norwich forward any space to work with and his thumping header gave his team the lead in the game.
Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal):
Another appearance in the team of the Week for the French International Koscielny. He was exception against Swansea City as he stuck superbly to his task and also bagged a goal for his efforts at the other end.
Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur):
Was a star player on the flank for the Spurs as they beat Aston Villa 3-1 at the White Hart Lane. He was excellent defensively and also set up both the Tottenham goals.
Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City):
Was too hot to handle for the Baggies in the 3-2 victory for Leicester. He showed his skills and pace all through the game and bagged himself two goals out of the three for the away team.
Mesut Ozil (Arsenal):
The German International has really been a treat to watch this season. His accuracy and vision is something that many can only dream off. He provided 2 assists against Swansea and is has the highest assists in Europe with 9.
Phillipe Coutinho (Liverpool):
The Brazilian started poorly against the Champions but was the difference between the two teams as the game progressed. His well taken brace gave Liverpool a 3-1 victory, the first in the League for the new manager Jurgen Klopp.
Gerard Deulofeu (Everton):
The ex-Barcelona star Deulofeu was in great form against Sunderland. He had a number of tricks up his sleeves that troubled the Black Cats as he picked up two assists and a goal in the 6-2 thrashing at Goodison Park.
Odion Ighalo (Watford):
The Nigerian International has been one of the prolific goal-scorers this season for Watford. He has been in good goal scoring form and scored both the Watford goals in the 2-0 victory against West Ham United.
Aurona Kone (Everton):
The Player of the Week, Aurona Kone had a day to remember as he scored a hat-trick against Sunderland at home and followed it up by signing a contract extension for 4 years with the club. He was simply un-playable as he linked up well with Lukaku to brush aside a helpless Sunderland side.
