Arsenal who face West Brom this week are building up their moves for the January transfer window. The Gunners have started looking out for players already as they aim to top the league.
Currently 2nd on the standings, Arsenal is having a good season and have put up a decent performance. However, the North London club wants to clinch the PL title this season and therefore aims to add strength to the squad in the transfer window in January.
The Gunners had a really dry transfer season this July as they only bought Petr Cech. It was disappointing to see the English club not making any more deals. But now the club is back on track and is targeting players. The current favourite on their transfer list is Celta Vigo’s Nolito.
Arsenal are favourites to sing Nolito as the Gunners’ gaffer, Arsene Wenger is keen on landing the player at the Emirates. However, Arsenal is going to face some competition as big names of Barcelona and Chelsea are also in the race to sign the 29 year old winger. The forward has a release clause of £13m and the Gunners are ready to pay the amount. A move to EPL in January could be on the cards for Nolito as Arsenal are up front in signing him at the moment.
As for Barcelona, the Spanish giants can hope a transfer as well as Nolito had formerly played at Barcelona for 3 years, during 2008-2011. Nolito’s addition to the Arsenal squad will be a boost and also make the fans happy that the boss is making deals this transfer window unlike the former disastrous one.
