London franchise West Ham United have done exceptionally well this season as manager Slaven Bilic has done wonders with the squad that find themselves close to a European place this season.
These performances in this season will now reward the manager with a new contract extension according to the sources close to the club.
The Croatian manager left Turkish side Besiktas last June in a three-year deal to move to the Premier League and has now taken the Hammers mighty close to a Champions League spot this season.
He completed the double over Liverpool this season along with victories at the Emirates and the Etihad and the London club now feel that the 47-year-old is the right man to take the club to new levels for a long time to come.
It is now believed that Slaven Bilic will be offered a new contract till 2021 to give him all the assurances needed to keep him at the club when they move to their new home at the Olympic Stadium next season.
Bilic’s brief was to keep the club in the top flight before they move stadiums but the manager has done far better and might just help the Hammers host European football straight away in their new stadium.
His approach and success has impressed the club board of David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady. And his style of play and the import of players like Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini has made a firm favorite with the fans.
Bilic met with co-owner Sullivan last Tuesday and a new deal was on the agenda. And it looks like he will accept the new deal as he looks to build on the current season’s success to take the club to new heights next season.
Slaven Bilic has assembled a great squad and will surely fight for more honors in the upcoming year and the West Ham board want him to pen down a new deal as they identify his importance to the club and are hoping to fend away interests from other clubs in the league.
West Ham face a replay of the 4th round of the FA Cup against Liverpool in their next game on Tuesday.
