Manchester United Dressing Room Disturbed Over Ronaldo Return
Cavani and Maguire are not happy with Ronaldo's return.

Struggling Premier League giants Manchester United are going through a tough patch this season, both on and off the pitch. And the latest report from the Express suggests the main reason behind unrest at Old Trafford, which is the return of Cristiano Ronaldo and his influence in the dressing room.

Cristiano Ronaldo made his famous Manchester United return in the summer from Juventus. Fans of both Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United celebrated this move widely but no one imagined the consequences in the coming weeks. Manchester United also signed big players Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho in the summer which naturally made them favorites for the league title in pre-season. But still, Red Devils are struggling on the pitch and their title hopes are already over.

The Portuguese legend who turns 37 of age next month is still one of the best players in the world right now. He is definitely the best player in the Manchester United squad and he has proved it this season. Former Real Madrid forward has scored 14 goals in 21 appearances and also provide 3 assists this season, stats better than every other United player.

But his influence in the dressing room is causing a headache for new manager Ralf Rangnick. Harry Maguire, Mason Greenwood, and Edinson Cavani are unhappy with Ronaldo’s return as it has raised questions on their particular roles on and off the pitch. Maguire is the current captain at United but his leadership qualities are far poor compared to the previous figures at Old Trafford. Cavani is also in good form but not able to start every single match due to the depth the Red Devils possess in attack. Greenwood is also finding it tough to cement his place in the squad despite his consistent performances.

According to the report from Express, Manchester United players are divided into little groups and it is affecting their performances on the pitch. The same report also suggests that Portuguese players Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot are also in the influence of Ronaldo and it is making it difficult on the pitch to play as a team.

Ralf Rangnick has inherited a very disturbed dressing room from previous manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The German has started his managerial career with Red Devils with inconsistent results so far, but no one can blame him, yet. English left-back Luke Shaw also admitted the tension within a squad after a latest 0-1 defeat against Wolves at home two days ago.
