Tuchel hails Cech and Granovskaia after solving Lukaku saga

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed his strong relationship with the upper Chelsea management after solving a Romelu Lukaku saga yesterday. Lukaku made the headlines recently with controversial comments which angered Blues fans but now apologized for his remarks after an intervention from manager Thomas Tuchel.

Lukaku was dropped for the crucial game against Liverpool after his controversial comments on his current situation with the Blues. Dropping Lukaku for such a big game was full of risk and eventually, it proved costly. Chelsea lost two points at home in a 2-2 draw, which almost ended their hopes for the Premier League title this season. They are now 10 points behind leaders Manchester City and it is very unlikely for any team to chase down the Citizens in the next four months.

Romelu Lukaku Remarks and Aftermath:

The Belgian striker returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer for a reported fee of  £97.5 million from Inter Milan. He started this season with some brilliant displays but found it difficult to score on a consistent basis. He has scored just 7 goals in 18 appearances, which is not enough for a player of his stature. Lukaku was a key figure in Inter Milan’s Serie A triumph last season but has failed to continue his form with west London giants.

After the Brighton game, which ended in a 1-1 draw, but Lukaku was on the scorecard, expressed his frustration at his new club. He said he is physically fit right now but he is not happy with the current situation. He also expressed his desire to return to Inter Milan in the future.

“Physically I am fine. But I’m not happy with the situation at Chelsea. Tuchel has chosen to play with another system – I won’t give up, I’ll be professional. I am not happy with the situation but I am professional – and I can’t give up now,” Lukaku told Sky Italia.

His comments angered every Chelsea fanbase and social media was trending with #lukakuout. Manager Thomas Tuchel said he and everyone in the dressing room was shocked after learning Lukaku’s unhappiness at the club. He also suggests that it will not affect other players as they don’t have to be united always to become successful.
