With Robert Lewandowski’s imminent departure en route to fierce rivals Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund are being left with an immense void to fill up to find his replacement.

Jurgen Klopp’s men will no doubt miss the services of the lethal Polish striker but musk now be proactive to find a suitable replacement for Robert Lewandowski. Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels too are being rumoured to leave the Westfalenstadoin, but Borussia Dortmund need to make sure they find the right players to fit in. So we here at Sportzwiki decided to provided three replacements for the Pole come in the summer.

Christian Benteke:

After having a brilliant last season for Aston Villa, the Belgian has gone a bit off colour this campaig. However, he no doubt remains a ferocious striker of the ball posessing immense body strength and exquisite finishing abilities. Moreover his imposing physical presence inculcates all the characteristics of Lewandowski and Aston Villa will ceratinly find it very hard to resist an offer  if a bid is put on the table by Jurgen Klopp. Benteke certainly has shown he can rub shoulders with Premier League’s finest and would be well worth he cash in the coming summer before Belgian travel to Sambaland for the showcase World Cup.s

Edin Dzeko:

As major tabloids report, the Bosnian is expected to leave the Eithad at the end of the current campaign. A fine performance at the World Cup in Brazil is certain to sky rocket his price but Dzeko will be well worth the splurge of cash. The current Manchester City striker has lethal finishing prowess, brilliant anticipating skills and is equally adept at working the ball around and dragging defenders out of position to make space for his team mates. Not withstanding Dzeko is also sublime playing as a lone striker up front or leading the line as a front man. The Bosnian also albeit his height can be used an outlet and be played as a target man. Make no mistake, Dortmund he won’t come cheap, but then as they say, you must spend to get that extra zip.

Karim Benzema:

The French striker might be on his way out of the Berneneu as it looks that his contract extension at Real Madrid will be stalled by the Fiorentine Perez led board. Benzema though who stated he wants to stay in the Spanish capital is a brilliant finisher and is a deadly number nine. The Frenchman also has the desire and the willingness to succeed, even though he might look out of touch in games, before invigorating a major spark on the pitch. Benzema would suit Dortmund’s style of play too, putting excessive pressure on the centre backs thanks to his incessent running off the ball.

Dortmund must act quickly if they are land a major coup in the summer.
