News has it that top English clubs are behind a Serbian youngster from Red Star Belgrade. London club Chelsea and English giants Manchester United are both targeting Marko Grujic. Reports in Italy claim that a bid was made by the Blues, recently.

Chelsea is currently in an awful condition in terms of performance. Mourinho thus wants to add strength to his squad by buying the 19 year old. It is said a bid of £3 million was made for the wonderkid.

Grujic is a product of the Red Star youth academy and is rated highly. The lad is termed as the new Matic for his similar built and height of 6’3’’. Grujic currently plays for Serbia U21. Seeing how the academy players aren’t really given a chance at Chelsea, Grujic would find it difficult to make a spot in the starting XI at his first spell with the Blues, if he signs for them.

Chelsea isn’t the only club looking to sign the teenager, big names of Manchester United and PSG are also in the race to seal the deal. However, as of now, it seems Chelsea is leading in signing the Serbian.
