The 7th Matchday of the Barclays Premier League will see two strong teams face each other. Tottenham welcome the league leaders Manchester City to the White Hart Lane. Manuel Pellegrini will want his team to bounce back from the loss they suffered in the hands of West Ham last week and will be eyeing all three points from this game.

Pochettino saw his team pick up all three points from a tricky fixture against Crystal Palace last weekend and will hope that his team can carry the momentum into the game against City. Here is the preview of this game along with the Team News, Expected Lineups and Predictions.

The Manchester City vs Tottenham game will be played on Saturday the 26th of September at the White Hart Lane in London. The kickoff is scheduled at 12:45 pm BST (5:15 pm IST).

Team News:

Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen missed the cup game in the middle of the week but will be available for selection in this game. Nabil Bentaleb will not be a part of the clash as he is still recovering from an injury. Ryan Mason is now fit to feature for the London club. Christian Eriksen may also come back into the starting XI if he is fit enough.

Some good news for the Manchester City fans as Vincent Kompany looks set to return back into the squad after missing the previous games due to injury. David Silva will remain sidelined as there are fewer chances of him recovering before the match. Gael Clichy, Fabian Delph and Pablo Zabaleta will also not be available for this clash.

The London club is fresh from a bitter defeat to against city rivals Arsenal in the League Cup in mid-week. Tottenham showed plenty of courage and were equal to the task on the day but were not able to get over the line thanks to a brace from Flamini. The team may suffer a hangover from the loss, but the quality in the team will make life hard for the visitors.

Pellegrini’s men, on the other hand, ran ragged in the League Cup and entered the 4th round. They are yet to conceded a goal on their travels, but the White Hart Lane has a daunting atmosphere. This may be the biggest game for City so far this season and Tottenham will surely test the Manchester defense in every possible manner.

The city will have a chance to show the depth in the squad and play players who have not got a chance to show their skill. But an away fixture in the Premier League against a team like Tottenham will test each and every player in the team.

Expected Line-ups:

Tottenham: Lloris; Walker, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Davies; Dier, Alli; Son, Eriksen, Chadli; Kane.

Manchester City: Hart; Sagna, Kompany, Otamendi, Kolarov; Y Toure, Fernando; Navas, De Bruyne, Sterling; Aguero.

Tottenham Hotspur – 4.20

Draw – 3.80

Manchester City – 1.90

The City has not really had much competition barring an off day against West Ham last week. But Tottenham may prove a tough nut to crack at home and the City players will have to work hard if they want all three points from the game.

Our Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 Manchester City
