Twitter reacts to Liverpool goalless draw against Sion

Nitish / 11 December 2015

Premier League giants Liverpool made the away trip to the Stade de Tourbillon on Thursday evening for their encounter against Sion in the Europa League, though they had already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition. The Reds would have been keen on not losing the game, but knew that they needed to keep the momentum going. Jurgen Klopp’s side got a few good chances at the start of the match, though they failed to convert them. This went on till the half-way mark, as both sides went into the game without any goals scored.

Further in the second half, as the energy levels started slowly dropping the chances started reducing and as the game went on upto the 90 minute mark, it eventually ended in a 0-0 draw, which meant that both sides took home a point from this encounter.

Manger Jurgen Klopp would have hoped that his side would have taken back more than a point from a game in which they were expected to win, rather than just the mere draw.

The home side put in a tough and resilient display on show and their strong defensive line helped them get something out of the game.

Liverpool will now look to face off against West Brom at the weekend at Anfield in their upcoming game in the league, which would be a tough battle for them and Klopp would want to keep the positive momentum going for his side.

Here are some of the reactions of the fans after the draw in the week in this European competiton match:
