UEFA Champions League 2015-16 Qualifier Draw – Man United face a trip to Belgium

One of the biggest football tournaments in the world, UEFA Champions League’s qualifier draw has taken place today

The 20 clubs participating in the draw were-

League route

Seeded: Manchester United (ENG), Valencia (ESP), Bayer Leverkusen (GER), Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR), Sporting CP (POR)

Unseeded: CSKA Moskva (RUS), Lazio (ITA), Club Brugge (BEL), AS Monaco (FRA), Rapid Wien (AUT)

Champions route

Seeded: FC Basel (SUI), Celtic (SCO), APOEL (CYP), BATE Borisov (BLR), Dinamo Zagreb (CRO)

Unseeded: Maccabi Tel-Aviv (ISR), Partizan (SRB), Malmö (SWE), Skënderbeu (ALB), Astana (KAZ)

The biggest name in the draw today was three times champions of the tournament Manchester United who secured fourth place in the Premier League last season.

Ties will be played on 18/19 and 25/26 August, the ten winners joining the 22 clubs automatically qualified for the group stage.

The draws started with the Champions Route.

Skënderbeu vs Dinamo

Celtic vs Malmo

FC Basel vs Maccabi Tel-Aviv

Bate vs Partizan

Then draws started for League Route-

Lazio vs Bayer Leverkusen

Manchester United vs Club Brugge

Rapid Wien vs Shakhtar

Valencia vs AS Monaco
