Video: Look What Giroud Did To This PSG Star After PUNCHING His Arsenal Teammate
Nov 24, 2016 at 12:43 PM
Edinson Cavani scored the opening goal against Arsenal for Paris Saint-Germain during tonight’s Champions League clash at the Emirates Stadium but almost got himself sent off before half-time.
The Uruguayan striker appeared to lightly punch Aaron Ramsey who reacted by holding his face and screaming.
Players know they’re at risk of being sent off when they raise their hands to an opponent’s face. However, referee Felix Brych either felt Ramsey overreacted or he missed the incident because Cavani avoided punishment.
The general consensus on Twitter was that Ramsey had made a meal of the altercation.
Yes, Cavani was stupid, but was Ramsey really hurt?
Poor Ramsey that must have hurt…pic.twitter.com/gnvLgliFci

It occurred to Ramsey 5minutes later that he should exaggerate the punch??

Gutted with Ramsey’s reaction to the Cavani incident. If he had anything about him, he’d have hit the deck, holding his face & rolled about.

See the way Ramsey cooly played off the Cavani punch then realised he may sign for Barca in the future and tried to feign injury

Olivier Giroud levelled the scores with a goal on the stroke of half-time and he clearly felt Cavani had overstepped the mark during the incident with Ramsey.
As they walked off towards the tunnel, Giroud grabbed the back of Cavani’s neck before having words with the striker.
Giroud’s heavy-handed approach wasn’t appreciated by Cavani who grabbed Giroud’s hand and pushed it away.
Giroud has been on fine form of late.
The France international’s equaliser was his ninth goal from his last 11 shots in all competitions.
