Neymar got involved in a heated exchange of words with one of the Manchester City supporter during closing stages of Barcelona’s 2-1 win at the Etihad stadium.

The Barcelona superstar was substituted in the 80th minute of the game and it all started when he was heading to the dugout, one of the City fans accused the Brazil captain of diving throughout the game.

Initial spat seemed to be over when Neymar ignored that fan’s claims and posed for a selfie with one of the Man City fans. But the striker restarted the whole issue at the final whistle. Instead of heading towards the tunnel to celebrate his team’s victory, Nemyar approached the same City fan (wearing YAYA TOURE SHIRT in the video) and began arguing over his previous claims.

Neymar was later asked by the Brazilian media about the incidence and Neymar replied:

‘I was just playing with him. He began to curse me and I ended up mocking him.’

‘What he told me? I can not repeat it, no,’ he joked. ‘My mother gave me an education. What his mother did not tell him, my mother taught me.’

These comments and the Neymar’s act at the full-time whistle could see the Barca star in hot water, if UEFA decides to investigate the matter. Referees will be called upon to discuss their views and if found guilty, Neymar will be in danger of missing the return leg against Manchester City at Camp Nou.

Barcelona beat Manchester City 2-1 on the night courtesy goals from Luis Suarez. Sergio Aguero pulled one back for the homeside before Lionel Messi missed a penalty at the very end of the game to make 3-1 for the Spanish side. The return leg will be played later next month.
