Iker Casillas sees Spain as favourites

Former Real Madrid and Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas is considered as one of the greatest goalkeepers the game has ever seen as he has won it all as a player and as a skipper.

The Spaniard had won 5 La Liga titles, 3 Champions League, 2 Euros and 1 World Cup in his illustrious career at Madrid before moving to Portuguese giants Porto couple of seasons ago.

However, after leaving Real Madrid, one of the videos is making rounds across social media which depicted the memory power of Iker Casillas. In the video, the coaching staff of Real Madrid had posed questions to the legendary footballer about the scorelines at each particular game he has played in.

Casillas has got them all perfect as he was able to recall all the games that were asked much to the awe of the coaching staff as well as the fans who looked into the video.

Only last week, Casillas has played against one of his greatest competitors Buffon when Porto played hosts to Juventus in the Round of 16 in Champions League. Juventus managed an important 2-0 win away as Porto were reduced to 10 men.

The two iconic shot stoppers have swapped shirts at the end of the game after a deep conversation on the pitch.

“Buffon told me that the red card made it easier for them.” Casillas said on Mediaset Premium.

“We tried to do well, but those two minutes really changed everything. We could’ve fought it out with Juventus otherwise.”

“It’ll be better for us in the second leg if they have someone sent off early on, but either way we need to work hard and keep believing.”
