Arsenal visit Swansea City for a crucial game week 11 encounter at the Liberty stadium on Saturday, 31st October.
Arsenal, after a terrific run of form for a couple of weeks were derailed by minnows Sheffield Wednesday in a mid week Capital One Cup clash. They would look forward to shrug off their embarrassment by winning against a tough opposition.
Garry Monk’s Swansea City are also doing pretty well in the Premier League so far. They are currently at the 12th position in the league table and have already beaten giants Manchester United in the league.
It will be a tough job for Arsene Wenger’s men to bag three points from the Liberty Stadium. The Gunners will also miss the services of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who were injured in the mid week game.
Speaking ahead of the match, Wenger said at the press conference: “Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be back before Theo Walcott. Both will be out until after internationals.”
Regarding Swansea and their manager Gary Monk, Wenger opined: “We need a strong defensive performance as Swansea are a team who are doing very well.
“I think he has done extremely well. I’m surprised that he has been questioned.”
The biggest revealation of Wenger was that he might field Joel Campbell in the midfield if requited. It will be Campbell’s debut in the Premier League if Wenger actually plays him.
Wenger was quoted: “I can play with Campbell or another midfielder. I have another 24 hours to make that decision.”
On the persisting injury problems of Arsenal, the manager said: “We will find solutions and I have to find the right one. Lets play tomorrow.
“I trust my medical and coaching staff to do well. We are very well organised on that front.”
