Accroding to latest reports, West Ham are in advanced talks with Manchester United to seal the deal of Javier Hernandez. The 27-year old has spent last season on loan at Real Madrid and has impressed in the limited oppurtunities he had.
West Ham has been heavily linked with Chicharito since the start of July with manager Slaven Bilic desperate to sign a quality forward this summer. The Mexican has drawn interest from a host of clubs both from MLS and Italy but Javier Hernandez is keen to remain in Premier League.
Reports in Spain suggested that West Ham are in advanced talks for a major deal with the club ready to pay up to £10.6million for the striker, although they could go up to £17m in order to bring him to Upton Park.
The player failed to secure a permanent move to Real madrid after a successful loan spell and has been tipped to move away from Old Trafford since Louis van Gaal took over as manager.
van Gaal believes that the player does not fit into his system but with both van Persie and Falcao gone, Javier Hernandez is the only out-and-out striker in United roster along with young James Wilson. The player was thought to get some regular playing time. But with Louis van Gaal keen to bring in “high-quality” striker, the Mexican is once again in a complex situation and keen to move away from Old Trafford.
