According to reports in Sky Sports, Chelsea are in talks with Premier League rivals West Ham United over a loan move for their striker Loic Remy.
Injuries to Andy Carroll and record signing Andre Ayew has weakened the Hammers’ attack and they are desperate to bolster their attack as soon as possible with Remy being their current target.
Reports of Chelsea trying to offload the striker is doing the rounds – but a temporary stint away from Stamford Bridge cannot be ruled out either.
The French international joined the Blues Chelsea for £10.5m from QPR in 2014, signing a four-year deal. However, he failed to impress at the club and managed just 13 Premier League appearances last term, scoring a solitary goal in the process.
Arrival of Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi at the Stamford Bridge has left Remy completely in the cold and it is almost certain that he does not feature in Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s plans.
Meanwhile, a couple of days ago French news outlet Le 10 Sport suggested that Crystal Palace had reached an agreement to sign the 29-year-old on loan. But Sky Sports has claimed that West Ham are keen to snatch him from Palace’s grasp and have begun negotiations.
