According to reports from Squawka, West Ham United are set to rival Liverpool as both the clubs are keen to land Real Madrid wonder kid Martin Odegaard on a season long loan deal.

The 17-year old has signed for Real Madrid last season from Norwegian club and has attracted the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United before choosing Los Blancos.

However, Real Madrid are willing to let the player loan on leave this season as part of his development as the club does not want to hamper his development. The competition for places in Real Madrid is very high which could see the young sensation playing with only reserve team for the upcoming season.

The club is scheduled to have a meeting with the player to sort out the player’s future. Odegaard has taken the world by storm when he represented Norway in Euro qualifiers aged just 15.

West Ham are one of the favorites to sign the forward this summer but Liverpool are also keen to bring the talented teenager to Anfield.

The player is also reportedly willing to sign for Liverpool as he has already went on a trial at the club before signing for Real Madrid and has iterated the Reds as his favorite club. The chance to work with Jurgen Klopp would however tilt the transfer towards Liverpool despite West Ham’s interest.
